preaching blunders

I have learned that it is easy to blunder from the pulpit. Even in my limited pulpit time I have managed to do some beautiful screw-ups. I won't write them, but if you are curious let me know and I will tell you. But the best thing I learned is that no matter how bad I screw-up, there is always someone who has done something worse. Check out this guy's blunder, and watch his face the second after he realizes what he said. I give you, the Swearing Preacher.

Milestone...

Hey, I just wanted everyone to know that this weekend I scored my first two "ice" hockey goals of my life. I wish you all could have been there to see it. We had a youth event here in Norquay with around 52 kids, with a big hockey tournament on Saturday. It was cool.

One thing I have learned is that Canada is weird. You can take 52 kids from S'toon, Norquay, Durban, Dundurn, Minnedosa, and Winnipeg, and they all hang out and act as though they have known eachother forever and go to the same school. I don't think I will ever understand how people in such a huge country are so connected.

Are my children disturbed?

I realize my blog doesn't have the fan base of say, a Gavin Jensen, but to those few of you who might be reading this, I have something to confess. I think my children can see guardian angels. Both of them now have made me wonder whether they were a little off, or whether they could see things that I can't.

Carter, (my 8 month-old son,) started not long ago. What they both have done, is that we will be just hanging out, sitting in a chair, or playing with toys or whatever, and all of a sudden they look at a blank space on the wall and start laughing. Then they go back to what they were doing, but then they do it again. And it is always the same spot. Halle looked at a spot around the end of the curtain rod in our living room. Carter looks at the corner of where the wall meets the ceiling. And it didn't just happen once, it happened a few times. Halle must have grown out of it, because she hasn't done it for a long time. Carter still does it rarely, so he just be getting out of it too.

Those of you with kids know that they can do some pretty weird things, but have any of you experienced this? I am pretty sure my kids aren't loony, so this is they only conclusion I can come to. Let me know what you think.
